Sanctimonious Sanctuary
Our church is such a lovely place
Perfect flowers in each vase
Velvet cushions on the pews
Choir robes in different hues
Hymnals dusted, floors are swept
Stacks of Bibles neatly kept
Every nook and cranny cleaned
Polished, perfect and pristine
Communion wafers, wine to drink
Each cup topped off to the brink
Three big screens with words on them
Pictures, movies, every hymn
There is but one thing amiss
Not one heart here looks like this.
