The Dream of Joy House

"May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven."   Matthew 6:10

Do you have a dream?

Maybe it's buried deep in your heart . . . something you don't think will ever come to be.  Perhaps it's so intensely personal that you wouldn't dare share it with anyone for fear they might laugh at you or think the idea is ridiculous.

I have had many ideas and dreams during my lifetime.

Of late, I have a dream to build a home for elder nursing care that combines child care and gentle animals, so that the elderly can live out their days in honor and usefulness as long as God gives them breath.  The dream is for this Joy House to be self-sustaining through an on-site bakery and bookstore.  I believe that this is a part of God's design for the world.  It embodies what He calls pure religion in James 1:27, which reads, "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you."

I believe there are different types of dreams. I also believe that our dreams can change and be fine-tuned over time, as we grow--especially as we grow closer to God.

Do you believe that?

The Holy Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 5:3, "For a dream comes with much business, and a fool's voice with many words."

Talk is cheap.  As with the running, it's time to commit it to God, seek His will, and then--get busy.

What dream has He placed upon your heart?

Goodnight, Runners.
