Our Great Intercessor

"And the Father who knows all hearts knows, of course, what the Spirit is saying as he pleads for us in harmony with God’s own will." Romans 8:27

There are many instances in which I do not know or understand what God’s will may be. It is at these times when I am so very grateful to have the Holy Spirit, who pleads to the Father on my behalf in harmony with God’s own will.

The Holy Bible tells us in Hebrews 7:25, “Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf."

What a blessing to know that when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, He lives forever to intercede on our behalf! And this intercession is always in harmony with God’s will for our lives.

How could we ever ask for more?

Are you struggling when it comes to what to pray for and how to pray? Take heart in the fact that you have a great intercessor to pray in harmony with the Father’s will on your behalf.

Romans 8:26 says, “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words."

May we allow the Spirit to intercede on our behalf when we don’t know how to pray or what we ought to pray today.

Goodnight, Runners.
