Day 12

"Even when you are chased by those who seek to kill you, your life is safe in the care of the Lord your God, secure in his treasure pouch!  But the lives of your enemies will disappear like stones shot from a sling!"  1 Samuel 25:29

Oh, how I love the verse above.  It is Abigail speaking to David, reaffirming God's constant provision for him.  It makes me think of Momma Kanga in Winnie-the-Pooh, and how she lovingly cares for baby Roo inside her pouch, keeping him safe and warm.  He is concerned for nothing because Momma takes care of it all.

Since my mother went home to Heaven, sometimes I just want that feeling of warmth and security, being cuddled and comforted by Momma.

Running this afternoon, I fell miserably short of my goals for myself.  It was much like yesterday, but without the four chocolate chip cookies.  That's a positive, but for some reason I felt defeated.  It wasn't just about the run.  It was more about feeling as though I fall so miserably short of who God wants me to be.

As the tears welled up in my eyes and began to sprinkle the ground, I just wanted to run away and hide, much like David did when He was being pursued by King Saul.  It was at that moment that I felt the loving whisper of God.  He reminded me that I can always run to Him, where I am safe in His treasure pouch.

Do you ever feel like running?  Running away?

Run to Jesus.

I have been browsing online more than 2 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.

It is pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did,
the internet will be a lot more useful than ever before.
