If God Became a Man

What if God became a boy
Would He have a favorite toy
Could He skip a rock real good
Best in the whole neighborhood

Would He ever startled be
Swim with friends or climb a tree
Would He have strange dreams at night
Hold Mom’s hand, miss heaven's light

What if God became a teen
Would He grow awkward and lean
Would He have straight hair or curls
Lend a hand to boys and girls

What about a dog or cat
Would He have a pet like that
Or would chores consume His day
Giving Him no time for play

What if God became a man
What if it was in His plan
To leave heaven up above
And show all the world His love

What if we rejected Him
Choosing lives so dark and dim
While He hung upon a tree
Perfect, sinless, He would be

There’s no “what if” to this verse
For us all He took sin’s curse
Now in love He calls to you
Dearest friend, what will you do?
