Jesus Loves Me

Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them." John 14:23

If you learned the beloved hymn, "Jesus Loves Me" by Anna B. Warner as a child, consider yourself most blessed.  It has been many, many years since I first learned this treasured song, and while I am not considered to be a "little one" any more, I know it is to Him that I belong.  There is something about travelling long on life's journey that seems to unite us with that place—that place of our childhood.

I invite you today to return with me to that place, the place where you knew without a shadow of a doubt that Jesus loved you simply because the Holy Bible told you so.  Return to that place where you were lovingly cared for, if ever you knew or have known that place.  If you've never known that place, then I invite you to Jesus.

He is that place.

As I advance in years, often struggling and dropping my sword to cry for just a while, the song carries even more weight than ever before.  And if you will indulge me, I add a new verse:

Jesus loves me when I'm old
When my faith dares to grow cold

He has proved His love for me
Every day since Calvary.

Jesus loves you, too.

Goodnight, Runners.
