The Ultimate Iron Dome

"For you are not a true Jew just because you were born of Jewish parents or because you have gone through the ceremony of circumcision. No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by the Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people." Romans 2:28-29

This passage of Scripture tells me that I am a Jew.  I am a Jew not because of my birth parents, but it is because we share the same adoptive Father, Jesus Christ.  In God's great mercy and grace, I have been lovingly grafted into the vine of this amazing family of God.

Romans 11:17 tells us, "But some of these branches from Abraham’s tree—some of the people of Israel—have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God’s special olive tree."

As we read and watch the events unfold in Israel with the evil terrorists of Hamas and Hezbollah attacking the Israeli people unprovoked, let us stand together with the people of Israel against the evil of terrorism.  Let us unite in prayer.  May we call upon our leaders to dedicate a time of prayer and fasting, of repentance and humility, that our countries might be restored to the place of blessing given only by the hand of Almighty God.  It is a place of blessing no country, no person can accomplish in their own strength apart from Him.

I ask President Biden, Prime Minister Netanyahu, and other world leaders to set aside such a time that together we may pray for healing and restoration that the world might see a power greater than any iron dome, any military strength could ever be.  It is the power of the One True and Living God with a people humbly submitted and committed to Him.

The Word of God tells us, "The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord." Proverbs 21:31

"For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance." Psalm 66:7

"The Lord looks down from heaven and sees the whole human race.  From his throne he observes all who live on the earth.  He made their hearts, so he understands everything they do.  The best-equipped army cannot save a king, nor is great strength enough to save a warrior.  Don’t count on your warhorse to give you victory—for all its strength, it cannot save you."  Psalm 33:13-17

"For the Lord delights in his people; he crowns the humble with victory." Psalm 149:4

Goodnight, Runners.
