Never in a Million Years

"You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred."  2 Timothy 3:1-2

Never in a million years would I have thought late term abortions would be legal, let alone in my lifetime. New York Late-Term Abortion Law

Never in a million years would I have thought there would be a bill before the legislature in my state to punish counselors, marriage and family therapists, psychologists or other mental health providers who work with people from a Christian perspective. If these providers in any way discourage homosexual behavior or the desire for a gender transition surgery--including at the request of the client--they face disciplinary action by a regulatory committee.  HB 517

Never in a million years would I have thought a bill would be introduced to force religious homeless shelters, colleges, and universities to allow biological men to sleep next to women in abuse shelters or dormitories.  HB 188

Never in a million years would I have thought a bill would be introduced in my state to amend the Labor Code to create “sexual orientation,” “gender identity,” and “gender expression” as protected classes.  HB 188, HB 244, HB 254, SB 151

Never in a million years would I have thought there would be a bill before the Texas Legislature forcing doctors to make a sworn statement to allow an individual to receive a new birth certificate and other official documents--even if it violates the doctor’s conscience and religious beliefs on best practices and gender.  SB 154

Never in a million years would I have expected our Supreme Court to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act which defines marriage as a legal union between one man and one woman as husband and wife, saying the definition is unconstitutional.  Supreme Court Rules DOMA Unconstitutional

Never in a million years would I have thought prayer would be removed from schools, the Ten Commandments removed from our courthouses, pornography would be rampant, marijuana use for recreation legal, mass shootings in our schools, and one of my closest friends from childhood would renounce his Christianity, leaving his wife and child for another man.

My heart breaks.

 Does yours?

Dear Heavenly Father,

Please forgive us for our sin. We humble ourselves before you and we come seeking your face. We repent of all our wicked ways. Please forgive us and restore our land.

In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

"Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

Goodnight, Runners.

May I just say what a comfort to discover somebody who actually understands
what they are discussing on the web. You actually understand how to bring
an issue to light and make it important. More
people need to look at this and understand this side of the story.
I was surprised that you are not more popular because you
definitely possess the gift.
