Scrubbed Clean by God

"But who can live when he appears? Who can endure his coming? For he is like a blazing fire refining precious metal, and he can bleach the dirtiest garments!"  Malachi 3:2

I don’t know about you, but I love clean. Whether it is a clean car, a clean house, clean clothes, a clean body, or clean dishes, I love clean.

God does, too.

But more than anything, He loves a clean heart.

And He is the only One who can give us a clean heart.

Do you long to have a clean heart? God can give you one.

In Psalm 51:10, David writes, “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.”

We can’t possibly know all of the sins we have lurking within our own heart (Psalm 19:12), but we can come before God, trusting in Him to wash us clean from sin.

Hebrews 10:22 tells us, “Let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.”

May we trust in God, committing every ounce of our being to Him, so that He can scrub our hearts clean from sin.

Goodnight, Runners.
