One Day At A Time

"So don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too.  Live one day at a time."  Matthew 6:34 

Do you have a tendency to borrow tomorrow’s troubles?

For many years I had this habit, thinking of what-if scenarios, working diligently to prevent and protect that which was clearly out of my control. 

My own efforts never left me feeling as though I had peace and comfort. On the contrary, I felt conviction for attempting to control things I both couldn’t and shouldn’t control.

Philippians 4:6 tells us, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”

God will never disappoint us. He will never let us down.

He has a proven track record.

He always meets us at our point of need, and He will take every opportunity to lovingly teach us how to trust Him more—one day at a time.

“But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life” (Psalm 42:8).
