Bloom Where You're Planted

"Yes, there will be an abundance of flowers and singing and joy! The deserts will become as green as the Lebanon mountains, as lovely as Mount Carmel’s pastures and Sharon’s meadows; for the Lord will display his glory there, the excellency of our God."  Isaiah 35:2

Growing up, I often complained to my mother about various things I had to do and places I had to go.

“Bloom where you’re planted,” she would say.

“But I don’t want to be a flower in the junkyard,” I protested in return.

My mother, in her wisdom, would remind me that junkyards need flowers, too. And she would go on to tell me how much more noticeable and appreciated was the single flower in the junkyard, versus the flower in the garden flower bed.

Do you find yourself in a place that is not of your choosing?

Remember that God’s ways are not our ways and that His plans are not our plans. His are so much better (Isaiah 55:9).

Ephesians 3:20 tells us, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

Jeremiah 29:11 reads as follows: “For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’”

May we choose to bloom wherever God may plant us.

Howdy great website! Does running a blog like this take a
lot of work? I've absolutely no expertise in coding but I had been hoping to start my own blog soon.
Anyways, should you have any suggestions or techniques for
new blog owners please share. I know this is off topic but
I just needed to ask. Thanks a lot!
