The Movie of You

“I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your laws.”  Psalm 119:59

If a filmmaker was making a movie of your life, what kind of movie would it be?  Would it be a comedy, a tragedy, a drama, a thriller, or maybe an action adventure film?

I don’t know about you, but when my life story is written, I want it to be a love story, a story depicting God’s love and redemptive power in a very flawed, imperfect life.  I want other people to see Jesus and His ability to change us, to make us new.

Whether it’s a day of sin or a lifetime, I’ve seen God’s power to redeem, to forgive, to transform, to make brand new when we repent and turn to Him.  There is a beautiful movie entitled, I Can Only Imagine that shows God’s transforming power, not just in one life, but in the lives of many.  When God changes one heart, He doesn’t stop there.  He keeps going.

When your life is all said and done, what will others remember about you?

As for me, I hope they remember Jesus.
