To Infinity and Beyond

“The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8

It is the cycle of life—new life, this life fades, and the cycle is repeated.  Yet, there is one thing that never fades with the passage of time.  It is never outdated.  It is never irrelevant. And, it never loses its power—the power to transform the lives of those it touches.  It is the Word of God.

Hebrews 4:12 tells us, “For the word of God is alive and powerful.  It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow.  It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.”

This power is infinite, as we are reminded in Ephesians 3:20, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

Are you allowing His living, powerful Word to accomplish infinitely more than you might ask or think through your life?  Do you believe?

Perhaps it’s time for a bit of mid-year reflection to determine what areas of your life you are still holding on to.

Recommit every area of your heart and life to Christ today, and He will use you to accomplish His purposes—to infinity and beyond.
