Day 23

"Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another.  If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law."  Romans 13:8

Great day of resting and fasting.

Church was wonderful today.  It was Senior Recognition Sunday, and I enjoyed hearing Dylan and other high school seniors speak, as well as watching him provide sign language for the deaf in our church.  There was a baby dedication, a new Missions Leader installed, and the most wonderful baptism of a teenage girl whose mother passed away twelve years ago today.  She is a very special young lady, and I know God is going to use her life in ways big and small.

At our bedtime devotion time, Dylan and I began reading Hinds' Feet on High Places by Hannah Hunard.  The book was a gift from one of the teachers at Dylan's high school.  If you haven't read the book, it is a beautiful allegory depicting life with Christ if we will follow His path in the here and now, and the very real difference He makes in our lives.

I'm grateful that my mother introduced me to the book when still a young child, though I did not understand it as I do now.  I highly recommend the book.  It is a life-changing story.  It teaches us to love without fear (1 John 4:18), and to follow the Good Shepherd to our high places (2 Samuel 22:34; Psalm 18:33; Habakkuk 3:19).

That's my day.  I'd love to hear about yours.
