Day 22

"There will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others.  But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when he judges you."  James 2:13

Shaved almost a minute off my running time, doing the mile in 14:17 today.  Shaved a calorie off, too, at 86 burned in the run today.

Had a great time with Dylan's graduation from a local Congressional Youth Advisory Council, and counting down until Meredith comes home for the summer from college--just two more days.

While running tonight, I was overwhelmingly reminded of the mercy and grace of God, His goodness in my life, all the blessings.  I was also reminded of the mercy shown to me by others.  There have been so many times in my life when I've said or done the wrong thing, yet others have been so kind, gracious and merciful to me.  When I think of specific events, it overwhelms me.

The love shown in the act of mercy overwhelms.

I pray that God will always remind me to show the same mercy, grace, and kindness to others, not just for the benefit it affords me, but because it is a demonstration of God's love.

May you have the best Saturday evening you've ever had in your life.
