Day 18
"I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely." Psalm 63:8
The alarm clock rang at the usual time this morning, 4:20 a.m.
"I got nothing," I said to myself.
Through a tornado of circumstance, I found myself up past 1:00 a.m. I knew I had to be at work by 6:00 a.m. and didn't want to medicate with too much caffeine, either. The gentle whisper of God seemed to quietly say to my heart, "You've got me."
I smiled to myself as I headed downstairs for the banana nut chocolate chip muffin and milk. I read about Hezekiah in 2 Kings, and that encouraged me, too. It was time to give the day to God.
The day went great, and I had plenty of energy. I'm learning I don't need to eat as much when I'm running because I'm not all that hungry. The run this afternoon went well, too. I didn't make it all the way around a third time, but I'm on my way.
I hope and pray your run is going well, wherever you find yourself on life's road.
Send me a note. I'll be praying for you.
