Singing in the Rain

"You send rain on the mountains from your heavenly home, and you fill the earth with the fruit of your labor.” Psalm 104:13

Have you ever felt like singing in the rain?

When God sends down this glorious substance on the dry, parched ground after weeks of blistering heat, it makes me want to sing.

When He rains down blessings of every kind from heaven, it makes me want to sing.

Psalm 66:8 says, “Let the whole world bless our God and loudly sing his praises.”

After rainy Sunday church services one week, I noticed a little rascal about four or five years old who exuberantly yanked off his socks and shoes, stomping through puddles with a huge smile all the way to the family car. His dad scooped him up, beaming at his son’s enjoyment, as he positioned the lad in his car seat.

Deuteronomy 28:12 tells us, “The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them.

How long has it been since you stomped through rain puddles?

Perhaps it’s been too long.
