A Prayer for Salvation

There is no greater prayer in all the earth than the prayer of a repentant heart asking for the salvation that only God can give.

John 3:16 says, “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”

God makes it that simple. Repent, believe, receive.

And, if we truly grasp just a tiny bit of the love God has for us, we will want to spend the rest of our days in honor and service to Him.

Dear Father in Heaven,

I confess to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins. I ask that You would please forgive me of my sins. I know that You alone can save me.

I believe that You sent Your one and only son, Jesus, to die on the cross for my sins.

Please come into my heart, Lord, and change me. I want to be new. Make me new, Heavenly Father.

I commit my heart and life to You. Teach me Your ways, and help me to follow You all the days of my life. I make my heart Your dwelling place. Live in me and through me always.

Thank You for saving my soul to be in Heaven with You.
