A Good Reputation
“So Hilkiah and the other men went to the New Quarter of Jerusalem to consult with the prophet Huldah. She was the wife of Shallum son of Tikvah, son of Harhas the keeper of the Temple wardrobe.” 2 Chronicles 34:22
Have you ever given any thought to your reputation? To how others view you? Your life?
Huldah was a prophetess who lived in the New Quarter of Jerusalem. She had a great reputation. She was known as someone who had a close personal relationship with God. Her reputation was so good that Hilkiah and the other men sent by the king knew they could count on her. They knew the king could count on her, too.
What about you?
How do others view you? Do you have a good reputation? Are you known as someone who has a close personal relationship with God? Can others count on you to deliver? What’s more, can the King of Kings count on you?
The Bible tells us in Proverbs 22:1, “A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.”
May you examine your heart and life before Christ, and make the necessary adjustments to improve your reputation today, and may this be the best day you’ve ever had in your life.
