A Happy Heart

"A glad heart makes a happy face; a broken heart crushes the spirit." Proverbs 15:13

If you're familiar with VeggieTales, you've probably seen the Madame Blueberry episode regarding thankfulness and having a grateful heart. If you're not familiar with VeggieTales, the story goes something like this:

Madame Blueberry is wisked away from her blue dwelling to the local StuffMart where she buys anything and everything that her little eyes see in an effort to find happiness. Then, she sees a little boy who has very little, but he has a happy heart. Madame Blueberry then wants what the little boy has--a happy heart. She asks, "What aisle are the happy hearts on?"

Madame Blueberry learns that a happy heart comes from an attitude of gratitude. Do you have one of those? Or, are you like Madame Blueberry--still looking for the aisle that sells the happy hearts?

The Bible tells us, "For the despondent, every day brings trouble; for the happy heart, life is a continual feast."  Proverbs 15:15

May you find the true feast this Thanksgiving. May you have a happy and grateful heart, and may this be the best Thanksgiving you've ever had in your life.
