Joy in God's Word
"But those who obey God's word, truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him." I John 2:5
Recently, I was a participant in a church discussion regarding a Biblical topic, and was saddened as I listened to people express opinions, philosophers, friends, popular books and personal experiences to make their various points. Yet, no one referred to the Bible as their source. No one spoke of the answer that was clearly written upon its pages in the simplicity needed for a child to understand.
My friend, the Bible is our authority. It is God's Holy Word. It is written in a manner that children can understand and know its lessons. Oh, may we never allow Satan to lead us away from its simple and complete truths, and a walk that is in obedience to Christ.
My prayer for you today is that you will read God's Word and walk in obedience to His commands to show how completely you love Him.
