What Would Jesus Do?

Do you ever ask yourself, "What would Jesus do?" before you act? What do you think would happen if you committed to asking yourself that question, before acting, for one year, no matter what the outcome?

That is the subject of a wonderful book titled, In His Steps by Charles Sheldon. The book talks about a congregation in a small town whose pastor issued just such a challenge to his congregation, and it changed their lives--all of them--in ways they never imagined.

The hard part of the challenge is searching your heart and your Bible enough to know just what you believe Jesus would do in any given situation.

The Bible tells us in Romans 12:2, "Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect."

I challenge you (and myself) to ask yourself, "What would Jesus do?" this week at all times before you act, and may you have the best week you've ever had in your life.
