Joy in the Laundry Room
Is there a special place where you feel God speaking to you? Maybe it's while you're alone in your car, or when you're in bed at night about to fall asleep. Perhaps it's when you're mowing the lawn.
For me, it's the laundry room. For some reason, I feel closest to God when I'm mindlessly folding and washing clothes in the laundry room. I sometimes visualize my sins on the dirty clothes I throw into the washer, then I feel God speaking to my heart, forgiving me, comforting me, and reminding me that I am His specially-made child. He reminds me that He has a divine plan and purpose for my life.
Job 33:14 says, "For God does speak—now one way, now another—though man may not perceive it."
Oh, that we may be sensitive enough to perceive God speaking to our hearts--wherever that may be. That is my prayer for you today.
May you have the best week you've ever had in your life.
