Joy-Inspired Reads

Christoph Von Schmid was a parish priest and author born August 15, 1768 in Dinkelsbeuhl, Bavaria. He has written such wonderful and inspiring works for children (and adults) as Easter Eggs, The Bird's Nest, The Basket of Flowers, Little Henri, The Forget Me Not, The Rose Bush, Christmas Eve, and many other stories teaching about faith, piety, and simple obedience to Jesus Christ in loving others.

These stories have lasted through centuries as beloved favorites because they teach the simple, beautiful truths of The Bible.

The world's belief system and trends change from day to day, but Christ's simple truths of love and obedience last forever, instilling joy and peace in all who hear and practice them.

The Bible says, "Look up to the skies above, and gaze down on the earth below. For the skies will disappear like smoke, and the earth will wear out like a piece of clothing. The people of the earth will die like flies, but my salvation lasts forever. My righteous rule will never end!" Isaiah 51:6

If you haven't read a Christoph Von Schmid book, I would encourage you to start with The Basket of Flowers. You and your loved ones will sense the Spirit of Christ as you read every page.

May you find joy and peace in the never-ending righteous rule of Christ in your life, and in simple continuous obedience to Him.
