On A Hill Not Far Away
There was a hill not far away With bones and stones and such. It never was considered grand Nor was it thought of much. Until one day when crowds laid blame On what they did not know. Condemned to die, yes, crucified Was this lamb—pure as snow. As suffering enveloped Him The Father turned His face To show the world real Love, real Truth To save the human race. And on that hill not far away His body taken down And placed into an empty tomb Removing thorn-made crown. Then, three days’ hence the Father came Redeeming His own Son. And offering the very same To each and every one. Oh, have you met this Jesus Christ? Do you believe today? It was for you He met that hill— That hill not far away.
